Power Steering Pump.

Need instructions on how to remove and replace my power steering pump. Also can the pulley be taken off with a puller and a new one installed while the pump itself is on the engine? TIA

You need a PS pulley puller. It is a little long, but you may be able to get it in there.

take the lines loose from the pump, drop the belt, remove the alternator, take the 4 bolts loose that holds the bracket , and take it off the truck, ive found that is the fastest and easiest way to get pulley off and on, do have to have a puller and installer to swap the pulley

On a 97 It doesn`t look as if you need to pull the alternator.
