1995 F250 7.3L 4x4 for towing 5th wheel help

I am new to the forum and new to the diesel and towing world. I ended up going with an F250 7.3 powerstroke with 126,000 miles because of the engines reputation. I will be towing a 34ft 10,000lb 5th wheel. I know I need to upgrade the trans cooler and change out all the fluids and filters.

What I dont know is if I should chip it and if so what chip? Or any other mods that would be benificial.

Also any other recomendations and advice towards towing and prolonging the life of the truck will much appreciated.

thanks

Intake you can order a tymar or a DIY 6637. Open up the exhaust with a turbo back I bought a diamond eye with no cats. Tues a t6 with custom tunes and gauges .

Auto? Get one of these:

Dieselsite / Tranny Cooler

Like the others said free the intake and exhaust. Intercoolers are great. I have a chip with Beans tunes and another with TW tunes. I like the towing power and shifting with the TW tunes better but it is smokier than the Beans tunes. Probably not going to be an issue with your stock injectors.

+ Matt - Star Tiger +
-Bean's: 160/100 (FF Injectors), 2/ 6-POS chips (TW & Beans tunes), Overboost controller, E-Fuel

-Mag-Hytec trans. and pumpkin covers

-370 Amp alt., 40k trans cooler, SRP1.1
-twin on-board air w/ 10 gal. tank

Search DIY intercooler, it's with an e99 spider and can be made much cheaper than the off the shelf units, requires custom pipes and a lil fab work and a couple holes being made but I can't wait to intercool my second truck too

If you're staying with the original 90cc single shot injectors, the 1.0 turbine works very well too with the aforementioned mods.
