Airtex or Precision fuel pump?

Has anyone used either of these fuel pumps? Which one do you guys prefer? I have a leak and it appears to be coming from the bottom of the fuel pump. I don't want to take everything off, replace the lines, put everything back on and still have a leak, so I'm just going to go ahead and replace the pump while it's torn apart.

Putting a mechanical pump back in? Now is the time to convert to an electric fuel pump.

What exactly is the advantage to the electric fuel pump? And what would that cost? Sorry, I'm new to this kind of stuff

Consistent fuel psi at sustained higher rpms, and easier to change later down the road

Yup I have a leak once a year it seems like. E-fuel soon. No more headaches and easier to check IPR and more room to work.

Elsewhere I've read that the stock pump will support stage 2 injectors? Of course a fuel pressure gauge should be used as starving injectors of fuel is harmful to them. But $500 minus the price of a new mechanical fuel pump will go a long ways towards a HPOP.

Am I way off base here? I'm always open to input...

And the original question.....Airtex or Precision?

Denton, TX

I envy those that know exactly which modification to make and in the most logical of sequences. But not enough to trade for my meanderings and misfires.

1996 F250 crew cab/short bed, 4x4, auto PSD, 6637 air filter, interior grab handles, stainless window vents, remote door locks work with engine running mod.
