97 f350 cruise control

hey is anyone familiar with the system on these trucks? i bought my truck and it doesnt work? not sure where to start looking.

on my Excursion it only works when it wants to.seem harder to set when its warm. Sorry I cant help but thought our problems might be related.

make sure that the emergency brake pedal is all the way up. just a little ways down and the cruise wont work... start there. if that dont work its probly the sensor on the master cylinder.

well the light on the dash doesnt even turn on when i hit the on button?

Have you tried the sencor on the master cylinder. mine started leaking and wouldnt set. you might try that.





97's dont have a dash light if its like my 92 & 96

mine dont either on my 96. but I know if the parking brake is even down 1/4th of an inch it wont work and its easy to hit with your foot when getting in and out.

not sure i thought there was a green light that turned on on the instrument panel when it was activated, but what do i know i am a NEWBIE
