fuse issues

I am looking at a 97 f250 powerstroke. the owner currently says that the tach along with the rest of the guages except for the speedo, dont work. he thinks there might be a short. i dont know the fuse number. any advice on what to do about the problem. he is selling it for $8,000 and its in very nice shape.

Can`t help w/problem but there is a thread on here that tells you what to look for when you buy PSD you might want to look up. Maybe a tech will be along shortly. Good luck
