two questions about intake and coolant

ok i just did my DIY intake and i just want to check what was the plug that you unplug in the air box? i thought i read somewhere that you can just zip tie it out of the way and you wont get a CEL, which im not. Now my second question is i want to flush the coolant and im kinda confused on what to get for it. I remember adding a additive to the coolant of a 96 PSD when i worked for this one guy about for years ago and i want to say it was made my luberafiner (spelling) now i thought i saw somewhere that CAT makes a coolant that you dont have to run a additive in and i belived there is a CAT dealer in town. Im pretty sure there arent any international dealers around here and to get stuff shipped to me on base is a hunge PITA. Thanks for any help guys.

That is the Air Intake Temperature sensor. It itself doesn't cause codes. Yes you can zip-tie it out of the way.

If you have green coolant - any green coolant with the proper Motorcraft additive (can be found at the ford dealership) will work.

50/50 mix and a follow the instructions on the back of the bottle.

I drilled a hole in the end of the air filter for the air temp sensor.
