ZF tranny

will all ZF trannys fit behind the 95 7.3? if not what years can i interchange? I have my motor back in and almost ready to run but my trannys not done and im out of money so i am going to borrow a tranny from 1 of 2 friends that have them laying around.

well i have the ZF5 behind mine but that was stock so you must be talking about the ZF6 6 speed then.

nope ZF 5 mine is a 95
I i could find a 6 that fit i would but not sure

I'm assuming the bellhousing bolt patterns are the same.

this is my tranny and in the tote is the parts that need to be in the tranny. this is the reason im in need of one to use till i get funding to replace some parts.

All ZF5's should work if they are from a diesel. None of the gassers will work, even though the 460 looks very similar.

You can use one from any diesel 4x4 or diesel F-SUPERDUTY.
