Need help with power steering flush..m

My cousin needs with his power steering flush. I have an 06 and I know his 97 is different. With his, what are his options on replacing the fluid? Remove the return line off of the bottle? Or pump? Anyone snap a picture of the line that has to be removed? And any synthetic ATF would work merc/dex?

any ATF that is rated for a ford should be fine.

pull the return line on the side of the hydroboost

plug the end going to the reservoir
then hook a few feet of hose to the hydro boost nipple ( like 3/8's IIRC)

then or before LOL

wet the concrete and add some soap or jack the front tires up

start truck
and turn lock to lock and push down on brakes multiple times while also filling

this is easier with 2 folks but one isn't bad since it won't dispel fluid unless your giving steering or brake input so you can leave truck running and refill

there is a return line on the bottom of the reservoir pull it and do as you normally would.

The return line is on the bottom of the reservior, so won't pulling it off dump all the fluid out?

What you could do is get a rubber boot of some sorts and slap on there to plug that nipple
