TRUCK WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO SHIFT!
I have a 97 f-super duty. i pull on the lever and it will not allow me to shift into gear, i took the plastics off the steering column and noticed when i pulled on the lever in didnt depress the large pin in the middle of the sleeve, the whole sleeve moved back with the lever. i noticed two screw down brackets that seemed to hold it in place but nothing else i could see that would hold the sleeve from moving back and forth. i tried holding the sleeve in place and it still wont allow me to shift, which is leading me to think that something caused a break by not allowing the pin to depress it......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated its stuck out on the street in front of my house i gotta get it off the road.
