FS2500

So who here uses the FS2500 system?

How long do you go before oil changes?

Do you feel like it was worth the investment?

Curious to know, I figure that with the way our engines use oil it is probably a sound investment. However, I would like to hear some firsthand experiences.

I've had it on mine for about 5 years now. No issues at all. I go 15k miles before filter change (every other oil change). Been told I can go longer on the FS filter change, but, I would rather keep good fresh oil flowing...350k miles and purring right along. Even the recent Blackstone results were very good for the age and miles. Oh, and still original injectors...

So you still do oil change at regular intervals? I have read of guys going up to, and farther than 20k miles before needing an oil change in diesel vehicles with this system. I just was wondering if that was possibly the case with our trucks even with the high pressure injection system.

I do change around 7500 miles. I do it because I don't drive the truck often, actually 1 oil change lasts over 1 year. So, I think I "stretch" it after reading about how oil that isn't used much can develop "acid" build up and such.

Even if it doesn't extend periods between oil changes it has to extend engine life by keeping particles out of the injector system and off the cylinder walls.

I put one on my 1995 PSD. VERY easy to install. I'm about 1K miles away from sending my first 5K-mile sample to Blackstone to see how it's looking. I don't plan on going much past 7,500 miles on an oil change, but it'll be based on the analysis results.
