emission testing

Hey any of you folks out there ever have any problems running your 7.3L powerstroke to 3500RPM redline 9 times and holding it for emissions??

never tried it and dont wanna. Why do they want you to run that high in the RPM range anyway. you will almost never see it in normal driving

theres a cure for that your chip talk to jody or tony about an emmisssions file on your chip they can lower your redline and cut the fuel on top so you cant fail and cant hit 3500

In Pennsylvania at least where I live diesels are exempt from emissions testing.

In Arizona the State requires this. I will not do it. I will run it up to 2800 or max 3K the engine sounds good at that range. 3500 RPM it is about to blow. So it sounds. In the past I just get the managers of the stations and they always let me run it to 2800 or 3K . And I am good.

I am not worried about fuel mileage. I get great fuel consumption. I am stock and will stay that way. I don't want to run at 3500rpm.
