Way Out Mod

Ever since my childhood buddy's dad had this PUSH BUTTON START 190 SL Mercedes, I've always wanted a push button starter switch.
Well now I have the switch and am trying to figure out how to connect it.
Would it be easier to pull the wire from the key switch or run a wire from the battery?
Also,
Is there a way of adding a wire from the existing fuse panel?
Sure would appreciate help on this one.

Are u still gonna retain the key to turn on everything or just get in, flip a switch and push start?

Thanks for asking.
Yes, I definitely need to retain a key to turn everything on,
just want to be able to crank the engine with a push button.

That shouldn't be too hard to do. You are just eliminating the need to turn the key from 'run' to 'start'.

This thread popped up on a quick google search. "How-to" for start button - Focus Fanatics

I'm sure the wire colors and all will be different, but it's a start in the right direction. Please keep us updated on your progress

yes... shouldnt be that hard. just need to splice onto the ''start'' wires on the key switch and wire them into a button. not to farmiliar with the circuit but if more then one contact is needed, make the pushbutton operate a relay and have the relay make and break the circuit to start the truck
