5.8 to 7.4 swap

Hi, this is my first post. I hoping to get some opinions on this little idea that I have. I have always wanted a 92-98 F-350 CC 4X4 PSD and I drive a 95 F-250 Reg cab 2wd PSD 5spd. I recently ran across a cherry 92 F-350 CC 4X4 5.8 auto with only 75K miles that I can buy for 5000$. Would it be logical to buy that truck and use the PSD and stick out of my 95 and swap it in or just keep looking? Any opinion will be greatly appreciated.

If you have the time and trucks, why not?

You will need to swap most of the wiring and engine mounts. The steering column and pedal assembly and instrument panel will have to be swapped. Radiators, clutch master cylinder, and possibly the brake master cylinder and booster, depending on what size is in the 5.8 truck. If you want to keep the 4wd behind the 7.3, you will need a few more parts. You will need a 5 speed from a PSD. The transfer case may swap, but I'm not positive. It will take some time, but I think it would be worth it, You could end up with the truck you want and sell the other truck to negate some of the expenses.

I would look into a 12 valve cummins swap.
As much as i love PSDs the cummins is just a cherry for something like this, plus a couple different places make everything you will need to do the swap, i.e. motor mounts, adapter plates, etc.
