glow plug check

hi im wondering which wires in the wiring harness that goes in the valve covers are the glow plug wires. i want to check them without taking the valve cover off.is it possible?

well if your truck isnt heating up, start with the glow plug relay. Change it, i can almost guarantee thats the case

On my 97 7.3 it is on top of the engine just back and to the left of the fuel filter housing w/ I think 3 wires running to it. Also if you want to search this site you can get instruction on how to check the timer w/a test light.
