Valve body mod ?

I remember reading John Wood article in the mag a while ago.

Seems like he's the man for the PS trannys.

The tranny in BIGRED is a rebuilt unit, but its shifting/searching leave alot to be desired.

Can anyone comment on Wood's valve bodies ??

I hear you on the tunes.

I wasnt planning on any at the moment, just firm up the tranny.

About a decade ago , we used HYPERMAX.

At the time, I did two 7.3 Excursions, and a Dually.

Plug in chip, 5" exhaust, and pillar guages.

They all ran like scalded dogs ... Except trannys still sucked.

Thoughts on today's HYPERMAX products ??

You can do much better than the Hypermax stuff for tuning. You can get tunes more customized to your vehicle (tranny mods for instance) rather than tunes that were made to cover a large number of vehicle types. Check out the folks from DP Tuner, PowerHungry Performance, Beans Diesel Performance, Total Diesel Performance (Tony Wildman), Swamps Diesel, and Gearhead Automotive (to name a few). Brian's Truck Shop (BTS) and John Wood Automotive are the the guys to go to for E4OD trannies! Cheers!
