Introducing "BIGRED" ....

I have been on here a few times asking some questions about this and that, but I thought I would introduce myself.

My name is John, and I live in Hollister, CA. (born and raised in San Jose about an hour north of here)

Moved out here to get away from all the crowded city BS.

This town is home to the famous "HollisterHills" Off-Road park ... where the "TTC" is held.

Anyway, after much searching for a CrewCab, I came across this decent, one owner '95 CC, XLT .... "BIGRED". (my little girl named it)

It has been well taken care of by the OG owner, 167K on it, with a recent tranny rebuild (now about 1000-1500 on it).

I was kinda hesitant on the paint job, but in person it doesn't look too bad. Factory RED paint, with a lower fade to a burgundy/black or some s#it .... Original owner bought the truck this way NEW in Colorado.

He took really good car of the truck, although in doing so, he had some mishaps:

While trying to get the truck outta the sun while pulling into an orchard, he slight creased the LF fender ... and a over head canopy colapsed due to snow onto the roof. The bed was used as a "truck"

The interior was also changed when sold at the dealer .... Leather conversion seats, and a rear bench that slides into a bed (??).

Funky wood center and overhead consoles, with "mood" lighting

Although I would of preferred more of a "stock" truck, I am happy with my purchase.

It has a 4" lift, which I am considering removing. Although so far, it doesn't ride too bad, and doesn't seem to squat when bed is loaded, with a trailer. (like most lifted trucks)

Well ... On to some pics....

The day I got it, and it's first job (I had reinforced and fabbed up some towbar mounts on my Jeep the night before)

If you look closely, the Pass Side hood hinge at some point went over center, and bowed the hood (I plan on building a jig to 'draw' it back straight)

Wheels and paint are definately "90's" issue ....

It bugs me how much the rear wheel offest is. Some 8-lug adapter spacers will take care of that one day ....

Engine bay pics from OG owner ... A little dusty, but the engine/tranny does not leak a drop of oil ... the T/C however is showing signs of seepages.
