DIY intake and fpr shim mod help

If I put in the napa filter everyone talks about and if I do the fpr shim (bb thing) do I need to have my 4" exhaust installed and gauges installed. Just waiting for some better weather. Basicly my question is by doing those two above mentioned mods am I going to run the risk of getting too high of egts and destroying my turbo?

1997 F-250 Powerstroke diesel
5 speed manual transmission
4x4 Off road package
FPR shim
DIY Tymar intake
GFS SVO system (runs awsome)

nope you may actually lower them a tiny bit due to better air coming in the exhaust is a good thing as soon as you get a chance but not a must for those two mods

traded it for an 06 dodge sorry
