so i was driving down the road last night and a brand new 2008 gmc duramax diesel 2500 z71 pulled next to me and reved his engine at the red light we took off at green and were even for a while then he eventually pulled on me i thought i could take him but i guess i was wrong WTF how does a stock truck beat me i know i dont have anything crazy but that suckswhat can i do

well that thing has more power stock than your truck does programmed

How do you know it was stock?Put a chip in that thing.

chip wont help, the new truck will still win. You need injectors.

He will still need the chip/programer. He will also need a new hpop if he goes with injectors.

i've seen them new LMM run high 14's in stock form(reg cab long bed)and then a good tuner and you can easily see high 13's.what i'm trying to say it will take a SCT tuned 6.0L PSD to run with the new Duramax's untill you all get some more stuff avalible for the 6.4L PSD,not that a 7.3L caint but it will take some serious mods to do it.

You got it right. It would take some money to get a 7.3 to beat a new LMM. There fast. Hell my 6.0 even got taken by a stock LMM when they first came out. i was only on a tow file tho.

a stock DMAX is pretty fast, plus look at how much money he had wasted in a GM product, a lot more than your old reliable ford. I would just smile knowing that your driving a reliable truck, not much aluminum
