Pvc pipe

On 97 7.3 psd. On intake mod using napa filter #fil 6637 is PVC Pipe is OK. Or is it better to use steel pipe? Seems like both would be ok but steel would look better. Thanks

I just worked the original intake tube over the new filter, didn't need the pipe.

Black ABS pipe and some hammered gold paint on mine. I need to get the good filter, I did this before I knew about the good filter.
Took this pic on a very cold Alaska morning so it's all frosted but it looks great with that hammered paint.

I used thin wall drain pipe. I broke a piece of aluminum for a shield. It's loud.
