Unexplained TC Shifting Issues
My 97 E4OD has had a hard torque converter shift for the past 2 years - since the day i bought it. My shift pattern is 1, 2, 3, 3lock, 4lock. My problem is when is shifts from 3 to 3lock when accelerating. The TC engagement occurs every single time at 32mph no matter how hard I press on the pedal. It restricts me from driving much over 2000 rpm when I have my foot in it because of the hard engagement that happens.
I've done some research and my leading theory at the moment is low voltage to the TPS? I'm not 100% sure about this and figured I would post this to get any additional feedback or information about why my TC engages at 32mph no matter how hard i press on the pedal?
