i put a 5" stack on my truck

i went to a local truck shop (theyre everywhere around here) i went in and asked if they had any stacks in their scrap pile. a guy walked around with me and we looked but didnt find any. we went out back and there was a broke down log truck from the 60s that had a 5" stack with some minor rust spots. the guy told me it wasnt the shops truck. it was some guy (forgot the name) who lives about 30 miles away. my girlfriend instantly new who the guy was talking about. he is her dads boss, and happens to know my girlfriend and likes her. she got his number and gave him a call. he said i could have it for free!!! so i removed it (about 9 feet tall) so i went home and cleaned it up. my exhaust was already a 4" so i bought 2 90* elbows and a 4-5" adapter, and a u-bolt clamp. i went nuts! the stack cleaned up and looks awesome! i had to cut a hole in the bed (wasnt looking forward to it, especially with the new spray-in liner) i welded everything except for the first 90* (clamped so i can remove it for whatever reason). after probably 3 hours of work, i fired it up and it sounds insane!!! i have no cat or muffler BTW. i had no idea it would sound this good! it also leaves a decent puff of black smoke! i would get a couple of pics and a video, but ive been sick in bed since saturday morning. had to go the ER after puking every 10-20 minutes for 27 hours straight. of course i get sick the day after i do the stack so i cant drive it anywhere

anyway, just thought i would share the joy! ill try to get some pics and a video soon.

cool, gotta love free stuff. be sure to get some pics when your not puking and drink lots of water

they finally stabbed an IV in me. i was so dehydrated i couldnt stop puking, which means i couldnt keep any fluids down. after the IV i feel a million times better. im eating some noodles and drinking apple juice and water. ill go outside in a few minutes and get a pic or 2. i need some fresh air anyway.
BTW the elbows, adapter and clamp were about $110 total!!! it was rediculous!! totally worth i though!

BTW the sound doesnt do the justice. it sounds like crap on the video when it revs. in person, it sounds mean!

that looks awesome. I want a single stack so bad. Ill be honest too, it doesnt bad at all on video so i could only imagine how much better it is in person. Also I didnt know the OBS like that whistled so much. Good stuff!
