battery dumby light wont go off

96 PSD with battery dumby light that wont go off. I just put new batterys in it a month ago and a new alternator like a year ago and the volt gauge reads the same as it alway has with the gauge readinf on the M on normal. any suggestions?

more than likely the single plug on the left of the alt as you look at it from the front. i broken the plastic part of the clip of and squeeze the crimp spade connection a little bit and mine stopped flashing at me.

or your new alternator could be bad

I read a while back about having a bad diode in the voltage sensing part of the circuit that gives you that warning light can cause it. Which means you can replace it or just don't worry about it.
