engine swap

I was looking to swap a powerstroke in place of a 7.3 IDI in a 93 f350 and was wondering if anyone has done this. Will the manual trans in the 93 bolt up to my powerstroke and whatabout the motormounts can anyone help.

Should be a swap. Just make sure you get the pcm, and all the electronics for it. You will need a pcm out of a manual trans truck. I would suggest you get a donner truck for this. Maybe find a totaled newer truck that has a 7.3L with manual trans. When your done with the swap. Sell what ever salvagable parts you can then scrap the rest of the truck since it is totaled anyways.

The tranny will work fine. Go ahead and upgrade the clutch and flywheel. Like BC said, it would be nice to have a donor truck. You will need the complete harness, PCM, and IDM. You need a powerstroke throttle assembly also. If you have cruise that would have to be swapped from the PSD also. The engine mounts are the same.

Hey thanks for the replies.I do have a doner my 96 f350 which got totaled.It is a psd, auto trans,4x4. The truck of interest is a 94 7.3idi manual thans,crewcab.I think pcm stands for power control modual is this corect? I would like to use the manual trans so can get a junkyard pcm or should i buy new?
