95 Powerstroke crankcase vent

Can you pug the hole for the crank case vent entering back into the intake on a powerstroke and run it under the truck or does the air from the crankcase entering the intake hole serve a purpose.

no purpose look up CCV mod there are many different ways to do it.

I did it on mine and ran it into the filter canister from an ag spray rig.

I routed mine behind the cab. Sometimes i will see it blow by in my headlights at night at a stop light, but never smell it. Im thinking of routing it into my hoodstack but i dont know if soot can somehow backtrack into the engine.

I did the mod a year ago and promptly undid it due to the smell.... Which was why I asked.
What's the benefit of the mod anyway?

where did you route your hose? the benefits are no more oil going through the intake. this IC came from a truck that did not have the ccv mod. look at the amount of oil in it. and it was cleaned once. all that oil is going through the intake. if you have an IC the oil is collecting and degrading the boots, making them more likely to pop off
