looking at a truck. need advice

I need some advice, i am looking at a 97 f350 with 226xxx.
the truck has a transmission oil cooler, gauges, cold air intake, and straight pipe. he wants 9500 for it. it has no rust and the inside is very nice. i am test driving it tomorrow. is that a fair price or a little to high?

High, what cab size, 4x4 or 4x2, any other mods? How is the turbo?, check it for blow by, shaft play on turbo, and pitting, good luck

It's a crew cab long bed 4x4 and its a five speed. but 9500 seems a little high to me for that many miles.

Clean retail on nada is 9050. there is a lot to check that most places don't know. When I bought my truck, nobody on the lot knew anything about diesels. It took my three days to buy it until I made sure I was not buying a huge hunk of metal. Check all the things you can listed above and if all checks out make a lower offer. Just my .02
