Gains from going to a 4" exhaust from a 3"

My truck is my tow rig. I have a jeep that I throw tons of money at as the toy and I'm trying to not turn the truck into another toy.

The plans are a DIY tymar intake and then replacing the vaccum hose downpipe with a 3"

So the question is would it be worth the $300 to buy a 4" kit from the downpipe? I'm currently running a 3" exhaust with the cat deleate and when I put this downpipe on I"m going to have my muffler man take the muffler off as well so it'll be straight piped.

I'm thinking that 3" downpipe to a 3" exhaust system straight piped all they way out would be great for my needs and a whole world of difference from what I currently have.

Thanks!!

Yeah you won't be able to fit a 4 inch dp on the OBS. You could go 3 inch to to 3.5 that would be a good setup
