95 f250 Powerstroke vs. 97 f150 Gasser

In a Race, which would win?
A 1995 F250 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel.
Or a 1997 F150 5.4 Gasser
Both Stock?
I am wondering because my friend claims his F150 will destroy me but i think otherwise.
I wanna have this race, do you think i should put money down?

:burnout

Wouldnt put any money on it. What kind of distance is envolved? Mine dosent wake up till around 45mph. It would be an interesting race though. If it really comes down to it, ask him if he interested in a pulling contest...thats what the diesel's are for.

the gasser hands down. my obs with tuner, exhaust and intake does the quarter in 20 seconds at 76mph. the 5.4 gazzer is probly bout 17 at 8x.ish on a bad day. even if your racing for a little ways longer than the quarter i find my truck aint got much left in it after 85mph.

Is your truck stick or auto? Powerbraking with an automatic tranny PSD provides one hell of a launch!!

Power Launch not Power Brake. If you Launch it right you will get him cause you will have enough of a start that it will be hard to catch up. My truck stock runs a 16 quarter mile and a low 14 or high 13 (on a really good day) with a chip and straight pipe
