OBDll compliant????

I have a '95 OBS PSD and looking at a scanner to troubleshoot various problems

It has the OBDll connector under the dash on the passenger side of the truck, but I have been told the '95 is not OBDll compliant.

I have hooked a scanner to the truck and it says "no codes". It doesn't say "not connected" as if the ignition switch is off.

I was also told by the dealer there should be a decal on the radiator support if it was updated. Dont see one.

There is also not a connection port under the hood fir the old style.

Does anyone know how I can tell for certain if this truck has been updated to the OBDll besides for paying the dealer $90 per hr/2 hr minimum?
What about a manual buzz test with the old system? How is that done to see if it can be done with this truck. That would tell me if it is still the old system.

Ae and snap on work, the old brick style one, but the cheaper units do not work, there are a couple other ones too but not sure, the stuff at autozone they do for free will not read it

Yeah, I am looking at the AE and others. The truck is showing intermittant problems and I want to see what the sensors are reading instead of just throwing parts at it.

I found one that is cheaper but just reads the sensors. Cant do any adjustments with it.
It's cheaper, but if it doesn't work, the money would be wasted if it doesn't work. It says it will work with ALL OBDll vehicles, but these first year PSD's are a whole new creature. Some are upgraded and some that are not.

Any way to see if it is besides going to ford or a shop?

I may take the truck for the speed control recall and throw the mecha $20 just to see if it is. lol

Would I need to get the truck re-flashed if it is not OBDll?

So, yours was OBDll compliant?

I also asked about the recall at the dealer. They said it takes about 20 minutes and it's just a wiring harness. I think I'll take mine in just to see what it took 18 years for Ford to figure out what was defective
