fuel filter drain valve

got a leaking fuel bowl(filter) drain valve. i installed new o rings, and fixed the leak.

my question is, my drain valve had only two mounting screws that attached it to the bowl. when i went to get a new valve, the one i was handed, and all that i have seen, have four mounting screws. theres no way it would possibly work. has anyone else ran into this problem?

I think for the 99 and later the valve had 4 bolts, earlier had only 2. Otherwise they are identical IIRC.
