Cross over oil line advise

Does anyone have any advise on the cross over oil line. I have read where it is a waste of money but also understand the concept. Would like to here from those who have tried it. Is it a waste of money or worth its cost?

I like mine. It did smooth my idle out. I had a ~50RPM fluctuation and it fixed that too. Throttle response? Power? Probably the same, but I like it.
However, do NOT get a homemade one or any rubber line. Only braided SS like OEM, but even then the crimps can go. IMO, literally only a hard line. I bought Strictly Diesel's, and it's great.

On the other hand, I bet a 5W40 syn oil would fix the slight issues I had anyway. However, this was cheaper.

I have braided stainless from Tymar, been on there for 4 1/2 years or so, no complaints and would put it on any other powerstrokes I have

I had the Tymar hose on my 94 and it made a difference at idle and maybe a bit more midrange power (not that much). Cheers!

I have the hard line from Strictly Diesel on mine as well. Smooooothes out the idle nicely. I recently heard that you can also remove the spring checks in the HPOP and get the same results. I have no direct knowledge of this mod or its results though...

I had a soft crimped line blow one of the crimps apart and soak everything in oil so I also vote the hard line from strictly diesel and it did smooth out my idle
