Blown Turbo Seal in Sturgis.
I may be the most unpopular Power Stroke owner ever. I blew a Turbo Seal in Buffalo Wyoming and drove it to Custer via Gillette. Then from Custer to Rapid City to get a rental and back to Gillette for replacement. Problem was it was in the middle of Bike Week. I am glad my bike plates are not the same as my truck anymore (Ham Plates used to be the same). If you have ever had this seal go, you know why 10,000 bikers are looking for my truck.
Only funny thing was a yuppie in a convertible pulling up and flipping me off. If he wasn’t unhappy sitting next to me, the situation did not improve when I punched it. I want to give Jeremy’s Auto in Gillette a 100% positive on equipment, facilities, price and knowledge. Good People and highly recommended. He dropped everything to get us back on the road. Thanks Jeremy. He saved my trip to Sturgis, and the bike riding was great (When my truck was not on the road). |

Oil Seal
The exhaust side Oil Seal and lost the bearing. Only 4,000 miles on the rebuilt turbo and the vender would not stand behind it as it sat for a year after replacing the turbo. Salem Oregon supplier and I will be in court to decide if 4,000 miles is a, merchantable and fit for the purpose it was marketed, component. I used two gallons of oil every 125 miles.
