Icp sensor or IPR valve?
Would the Icp sensor or IPR valve cause a drop in Icp pressure while the truck is running?
Truck is a 96 f350 with 196,xxx miles, e fuel, t500, tymar intake and your basic other mods. My wife was driving the other day and the truck started to lose power while she was driving on the hiway. She noticed that the Icp pressure was at about 1400 psi then dropped to about 700 psi and would bounce high and low. I swapped idm's on Saturday thinking that was it but the truck is still acting up. Thanks for looking. |

Most likely the IPR needs adjusted.

I spoke with Patrick from swamps diesel yesterday, they are molding my idm, and he said my problem is more than likely a tired injector or two. He described the symptoms that my truck is having to the tee. I did a buzz test the other day and they all passed but I did notice an audible difference in a couple of injectors that sounded a little tired. So it looks like I'll be doing injectors soon.

It sounds like an IPR issue to me as well.

I swapped IPR valves and truck acted the same. No power on take off and would lose power like it was starving for fuel.
