I think im in the same boat as "2 stroker man" but im not sure.

Is it easier to gut the ebpv or is it easier to do DIY Exhaust Brake?

I dont to a lot of pulling but a few trips to WV with a car trailer loaded with 4 wheelers.

Pros and Cons on both: gutted ebpv and also the DIY Exhaust brake?????

If gutted is better could one of yall send me step by step instructions if you have them.

All of my projects are CHHHHEEEEAAAAPPP!!!!!!!!!!! as most of us want them to be.

Just let me know. Thanks guys!!!!!!

Gutting is for performance, brake is for towing. Just decide what you want.

Gutting involves removing the EBPV, which can be difficult. You may be able to remove it without removing the turbo. I was able to remove mine, but I had to get the downpipe out of the way. I came close to gutting mine a while back, but I like the brake when towing. You have to remove the butterfly and plug the holes by tapping and installing threaded plugs.

The brake is easy, just take a little time.
