Bought E-450 box van build date 1-98 told it was 7.3

What's the difference between this motor and the newer 99- 2003 7.3 are they as dependable ? Truck has 113,000 miles anything to watch for ??

Chances are your van will have the E4OD transmission and mechanical fuel pump. Late 98 e-series would have had the 4R100 and electric fuel pump.
