EBPV BRAKE HELP

so, i'm gonna do the ebpv brake. i warmed up my truck this morning. ebpv didnt didnt actuate at all. listened the whole time. i checked today, and the sensor is $150 so i think i will go with the ebpv brake for $15 instead. my idea: to incorperate a good toggle switch, and run hotwire from battery, with inline 15 or 20 amp fuse, and use butt connectors with shrink wrap. MY QUESTION: which wire to cut on connector and where, and how do i hook it all up. will my idea work? all help appreciated!

Do you have an automatic or manual trans? If you have an auto you need to do the converter lockup mod too

auto, yes. but, i only care to use it warming up. so, i dont need it right?

not if you are just gonna warm up the rig with it. but to be used as an exhaust brake you do

i'm not, gonna. might hit it when cruising and rev up. lol. i think i'll like the sound. warm up and sound is all i care about. i got good trailer brakes

why cant i just use an on/off toggle switch, and hot&ground from my battery, with an inline fuse?

You have to use that other stuff to avoid problems with the PCM
