Is it worth it?
I have found a 1997 F-350 PSD with 357,000 miles on it. I can get it for $3000. I don't want to put very much money into one and this sounds like a deal. The engine hasn't been rebuilt or anything, and I don't want to have to do that anytime soon. What do you guys think?

What are the maint. records LIke? Does it run/ Idle good. Drivability?? interior, and body shape? My 97' with 175k miles is blue book valued at $10k. so itf its in decent shape then I say go for it. I got mine for free and all I had to do was rebuild the engine.
$450 for a short block that needed new rings (1 oil ring was bad just after it was rebuilt) $210 for rings $100 for Gasket set and about 2 weeks of my time to pull rebuild and reinstall the engine I am still working on getting it running but it wil be a good truck when I am done. So yeah id say you have a good deal in front of you. |

I dont really know anything about the maintenance records to be quite honest. The truck is in very good condition and the inside is fine except for the driver's seat being worn. I think it would be a good truck. I just dont want to have to rebuild the engine or anything as I am in college and dont have the time.

I think you will be fine, if it runs good now. You could part it out and make your money back.
