Ok i dont have a 7.3 or even a ford but my buddy just got a 97 F350 and he doesnt know what to do first. I told him he needs guages first a pyro,boost, and Trans temp (auto). Also We were looking at the TS chip and the edge evolution do they stack ok? Also when does he need to upgrade the fuel system and how does the auto's hold up in these trucks? Also where is the best place to find accesories for these trucks? Sorry for all the questions but trying to make the right moves the first time. Thanks.

cant stack a chip with a tuner, youcan stack a module and a tuner or a module with a chip, the only module available for the obs trucks is the edge easy module and personaly isnt worth the money, as for chips the best out there for the obs trucks is tony wild man at www.totaldieselperformance.com second off one of the most important modifications to the obs trucks is the down pipe, it comes squashed from the factory and is a real bottle neck, gauges, chip, downpipe, 4 inch exhaust and intake makes the obs trucks very fun to drive, once he want more power he can step up to stage 1 injectors and a D66 turbo from beans diesel performance bringing him up around the 300hp range.

Tranny upgrades would be great for a chipped truck. Get a chip from Tony Wildman or DP.www.totaldieselperformance.com

He needs to upgrade the downpipe first, then open up the exhaust with a kit or remove the muffler. Get or build a high flowing intake. The gauges should be next, then a chip.

The fuel system doesn't need upgrading until you add bigger injectors. The stock turbo is fine also, but a 1.0 AR turbine housing will help it spool faster. If he is serious about modding, Get some stage 1 injectors. If he goes bigger, other mods will be needed.

Thanks for the fast reply. Is there anywhere thats sell a dual exhaust kit for these trucks i cant seem to find them anywhere and he wants duals. And thanks for clearing up the ts and evolution question i thought the ts was a under the hood module and the evolution was a programmer.

The OBS trucks have a limited selection of programmers/tuners, unlike the newer super duties. I'm not sure on the duals, but I'm sure they could be made. I like the single 4".
