zf5 speed 2wd work in a 4wd?

I'm building a puller, it's a 75 crew cab body sitting on a early 99 f350 frame. A 97 stroke engine with zf5 speed a 75 hi boy divorced t case dana 60 front axle and a sterling dually rear end. My question is being that the 97 zf5 speed had a married t case and I'm going with a divorced can I use a 2wd tranny or make the 2wd tranny from 97 work? Any parts need be exchanged etc? I know I can find 4wd tranny just I have the 2wd if I can make it work.
