I have 4in MBRP high flow muffler, no cat, with three inch down pipe on my 97. Performance wise, no noticable difference than when my old exhaust had parted before the cat (drove it a while like that!). Plenty of whistle.

We installed this exact kit on my friends truck. It was a bit tight, we had to squish the pipe under the cab, just a little though, this is on a SCLB though, not sure what you have. There was even enough room to keep the spare in place. You can't go wrong with 5", it is a very sweet sound. Only complaint I have about it is too much turbo whistle, I deleted my EBPV though and that made it even more noticable. My truck almost sounds like a 6 leaker now, not that that is a terrible thing.

My Truck
97' F-250HD. ECLB. 66,000 miles. 7.3. E40D. 6637 Filter. 5" Exhaust. Deleted EBPV. CCV mod. 45 gal. Transferflow Rear Tank. Stock for now. Dana 60 in the works.
My Dad's
97' F-250HD. ECLB. 18x,xxx miles. 7.3. E40D. 6637 Filter. 4" Exhaust. TW Tunes. Work Truck.

94-97 exhaust 7.3?

You can get the same one, but stainless, from summit for about $10 cheaper. No tip though. That's what I'm going to be ordering in the next week or so.
