Newbie here, I Looked at a July of 1994 f-350, auto, with 250k for $5000. I believe this is not a PowerStorker motor but not sure. It didn't say on the fenders or the engine.
But there's a problem, it runs but not well. When it starts it starts hard (you have to give some throttle) and smokes badly, white-blue smoke, then clears. After it's running, when you give it throttle it misses then smoothes out. The seller says that "it will run ok for 20 min then won't idle unless you keep giving it some throttle" has no power. He took it to the local ford dealer and they said it needs an injector pump, costing around 1500 to fix. I would do the work myself but does this even sound like a the problem, cause from what i've researched this doesn't sound to be the iusse. Thanks for your help, Zach |

I would stay away if i were you. If you do buy it, check for excessive blowby first. My parents have the same truck and miles and it will puke oil out the dipstick. plus for $6500 you could find somethin better

Ok, Thanks for the input.

$5k would put you in the range of an OBS with a powerstroke, turn around and walk away from that one!!

I'm sorry to ask, but what is OBS?

Ok thanks for the advice guys, but just out of curiosity does it sound like a injector pump?

To many unknowns to venture a guess. I know of a 1996 4x4 Powerstroke for $1,000. Downside is water in the oil. Could be the oil cooler or cracked block, or cracked injector cup.
