Where did you get your CPS?

My truck is showing signs of a bad CPS. I get a bit of choppiness at idle and it died twice on me this weekend while driving down the road.

In my research i have found that it doesn't seem that straight forward finding the correct replacement for a 96.

Questions:
Where is the best place to look for a quality replacement?
Does anyone have a part number or am i looking for a specific color (i keep reading about grey CPS's)?
Might it not be the CPS at all and should i look somewhere else for the problem?

thanks,

Do you guys agree that it sounds like a CPS?

214k on the truck and it is possibly the original.
