DOWNPIPE Qs????

So for all of you who have downpipes on ur obs powerstrokes let me know what you think about them. how much did they help.

i have a 99 superduty but im pretty sure it works the same for all years, lower egts and faster spool up.

i dont know about lower egt's i didnt have a pyro on my truck before my downpipe install, once you get that stock on off you wonder what the hell were they thinking when they decided to crip that pipe down, i did notice a lot louder turbo whistle and seems like it did spool up faster. I would definatelly do it again, maybe next time i would like to keep my two front teeth thou

imo, on obs(because of the smashed stock downpipe), they make a huge difference..... response, spool up, power, sound...

they really allow the truck to breathe better. everyone will tell you its completely worth it.

You will see the Diff. when you take out the old one! I thin FBD has them pretty cheep...

Try to breathe thru a straw while running, thats what the stock dp is like. Highly recommend.

A saws-all is your friend. Cut the top off near the turbo,and up as far as you can reach from the bottom of the truck. You will also have to cut and bend the firewall seam flat against the firewall for clearance for the new round DP
