Question edge 1500 programer?

i have a stock obs powerstroke 231k on it. im (15! i fully paid for it) so im looking at this tunner any body have 1? over the summer it will get the down pipe and whats the air filter 6637?. also has auto trans

96 ford f250 7.3 edge evo straight pipe (Blown up Junk)

Edges and auto trans don't go good together.

96 7.3L, RCSB, Race truck

Save a few more bucks and get a chip, dont do edge anything

xdp is 270 for the tunner. and the ts is 250 on xdp

For 295 you can get a way better tuned chip from PHP. Chip plugs into PCM and switches on the fly.

Edge kills trannies all day, everyday. Just about anyone who has had an edge on thier truck had to replace the trans. Heard of a few that threw the rods out the side of the block also

never done this were is the pcm? and switches on the fly???? what about the ts all i want is the chip for some smoke and down pipe soon and glow plugs

your not going to get smoke out of an obs powerstroke with out bigger sticks. don't waste your money on a chip till you have gauges (egt, tranny temp, and boost) unless you just want to tear something up. intake and exhaust should come before a chip also.

i dont see how a 15 year old can tear it up. have a hole year to get stuff i really dont like the gauges. how would you hook that stuff up? im a noob kinda lol

if you like to "get on it" it will make ur exhaust gas temp shoot up to hot and you can start melting pistons(typically don't happen till larger sticks) and you need to let your truck cool down before shuting it off and that's also a good reason to have gauges to make sure your egts are down before shut down andcan cause oil to coak up on the turbo ( I will be late to class before i just turn my truck off with out cooling down) also the auto trans in thesis trucks like to have problems best to make sure it don't over heat and make its life shorter. there is many write up on how to hook up gauges its not to hard i had a full set in my previous powerstroke and looking to get a set for this truck before i do any chip.
