Performance chip question

So I have the chance to pick up a bully dog chip for cheap but its out of a 97 powerstroke with a manual trans, will this work with my auto trans? I intend on getting a ts 6 position when I have the money but for what I can get this one for I would like to pick it up if it will work.

Canned tunes generally work for all configurations but I'd advise against bully dog. We had one in my uncles 05 cummins with auto. Shortly after we installed it the tranny went.

I've been using a superchip for years in my auto f550 and I've never had any problems so id go with that one if your looking for a cheap one to get you by for now.

i have seen people take those bully dog chips and get them reburned by a legit tunes company. like swamps. i have never done it but i have seen people advertise those bully dog chips with custom tunes on them

that is just canned generic tunes not custom ones

if your going to spend 250 on canned tunes why not spend 300 on good tunes from php
