Missouri Emissions and Safety Test

Had a 97 for about 2 years now. when i bought it, I had it straight piped, I didnt pass safety test. Threw a cheap jegs on it and passed. A buddy told me tonight that missouri requires at least one sound deadening device, and that the turbo was in fact a "sound deadening device". Any missouri boys out there have any straight pipe trouble too? If thats the case im headed back to a straight pipe!

Missouri Emissions and Safety Test

I have an 05 6.0 that is just straight piped but where I live, Rolla, they don't do an emissions test. I also get a good ole boy inspection done.

Re: Missouri Emissions and Safety Test

I have had zero problems. I'm not sure you have to. If so, find a more "friendly" shop. But, I do not think it was ever required.
