The frames are different so your going to have to modify the mounts, not sure if the width is the same or not.

Re: 01E350 rear axel in a obs truck

It can and has been done before. Axle will bolt right up, the van axles are the same width. You may have to mod the shock mounts though. Also I think there are issues with the parking brake.

I am planning a rear disc conversion but I will be swapping in an SD axle. They are wider and parking brake is not an issue. Bolt pattern is fixed by re-drilling hubs to 8x6.5 ...

Are you 100 percent sure? When I was doing my conversion I want to say it wasn't a bolt in axle. A 60 isn't as strong also and I believe it's not as wide.

Re:

Yes the e-series and SD rear axles are bolt in.

Heres another option...

http://www.fordmann.com/F350.rear_disc_brakes.htm

My plan is an sd rear axle with hubs re-drilled to 8x6.5 pattern. Local guy is charging me $10 a piece to machine and install studs. Only thing to consider is gearing.
