Which exhaust?
Ok, I am now in the market to put in an aftermarket exhaust. I have heard really good things about MBRP. I was thinking about the 4" turbo back. I noticed there are a few different models of the 4" turbo-back, whats the difference in these? which is the best/most fuel efficient?
I have a buddy that put a dual MBRP on his NBS 7.3, but left the muffler and cat converter because he was afraid of emissions testing in the future. what are yall's thoughts on this? Any ideas or recommendations? Where should I shop (i have been checking out XDP)? note: I dont want stacks! just not my style |

Amazon has 1 afe kit left for under $140, I have some 4" pipe an exhaust shop made up for me with a 5" rbp tip, they are all about the same, free flowing is always gonna net you a nice sound and better economy, I also suggest a down pipe if you don't already have one

I just bought a diamond eye 4" turbo back from alligator diesel. I think it was like $250 shipped and I got it in 3 days.

Which exhaust?
How is the quality of diamond back?

I thought the quality was really good. Aside from the downpipe and firewall the install was pretty simple. All the bends were clean too better than the ones the shop did for my superduty. I definitely recommend having a second pair of hands helping you line it up

U wont be able to fit a 4" downpipe off the turbo on an obs 3" is a tight fit after trimming the pinch weld on the firewall. I recommend tymar downpipe. Dale at tymar performance makes a great down pipe i love mine

My exhaust experiences
Hypermax. Fit well but was only offered in Aluminized and was not exactly cheap AFE. Should stick to selling intakes. Had to mess with every hanger(weld or bend). Had to CUT, NOTCH and weld the DP in order for it to not lay on the trans crossmember. Cheap, you get what you pay for MBRP= JUNK. It fit like COMPLETE crap. I had to cut and weld 4 of the hangers. I flatted the pinch weld and the DP hit the firewall AND the cab floor. Also had to do away with the passenger transmission cross member brace(WTF were they thinking ). Was 425 for AluminizedBanks. Fit perfect, but dam expensive Flo-Pro. Fit Very well. Cheap for all Stainless(320 delivered) and EXCELLENT customer service. Have never used Diamond eye If I were to buy any exhaust again, it would be Banks or Flo-pro. You couldn't GIVE me a AFE or MBRP |
