Talk me out of an insight CTS
I am looking at the edge insight CTS over gauges for several reasons. The first and foremost is its cheaper, I can get the unit for $299 and the probe for about $75 (if I do get gauges I will get ISSPRO). Also, I have more flexibility than only monitoring three gauges and can choose from several options and monitor up to eight(including pulling codes), I know someone will suggest an aeroforce scan gauge, but that will be a bit more expensive. I also like that the unit can be easily transferred to another rig (without a new pod), should I get one. Finally, the installation seems much more simple. I do however like the looks and simplicity of pillar mounted gauges. Why should I not purchase the CTS?

When it breaks......unlike real guages expensive to repair..
Info pulled from the PCM isn't as accurate as new sensors. You will need to spend much more if you want to monitor Boost, EGT and trans temps than just getting a EV1 kit. We sell both, if I can help please PM. |

Boost and trans. Temp are include in the parameters for the '97, so all I need is the probe.

Once you make HP and use a Boost fooler the boost fuction won't be usefull, bet temp isn't accurate either..never checked..
