WONT START
my brothers having trouble with his stroke. its a 96 f250 ex cab long bed 2wd e4od. all stock. i believe hes got about 250k on the clock. he said it was running really rough and now it wont run at all. CEL was on but i dont think it is now. isnt throwing any codes. any thoughts would be great.

CPS...CPS....CPS try changin that first its one bolt and is a normal cause of no start especially if it was running rough before

ok so i got to c it today it does start. runs good for a second or two then runs like crap. wts light is working. tach moves while cracnking. and i did not notice any white smoke. cel is on. not throwing any codes.

If the CE light is on, it's throwing codes. What scanner are you using?
Rough run shortly after startup -> I've seen other threads where it's a UVCH / injector wiring issue. After a few seconds, the IDM detects an injector problem and shuts down that whole side. _Might_ be informative to let it run like that for a minute or so, then point an IR thermometer at each runner on the exhaust manifolds, see if one whole side is cooler. |
