My ebpv valve is just playing havoc on my truck. I have it electronically disconnected from the PCM's control and wired to an on/off toggle switch. The switch is always off, but that stupid valve keeps making its way closed!! And at the most inconvenient times, like when I'm running down the highway at 65 it'll just decide to close itself, or if I hold a gear out for too long that sets it off too, so I have to pull over and turn the engine off and then back on to get it to open again. Sometimes it just closes again right when I get moving again. Tomorrow I plan on mechanically disconnecting it and wiring it open cause I've had it with this POS valve. But even though I'm going to do that, I still wanted to ask opinions on why it would do this? Is the valve that keeps oil from pushing the plunger and activating it worn out or something? Can't really think of any other way for it to close itself. Anyway, there's my rant for now.
